Michigan Displays

  • Bazillion Lights - Livonia, MI (near Detroit).  Gary Slater's Bazillion Lights is another synchronized Christmas display in Livonia, with 50,000 lights synchronized to music.  He has a moving Santa Claus on the roof, snowball fight going over the street, leaping arches, and his entire house covered in lights.  Highly recommended.
  • Christ Lights - Grand Rapids, MI.  Christ Lights is one of the few Christmas displays in Michigan dedicated to celebrating the birth of Christ.
  • Coldwater Lights - Coldwater, MI (near the Michigan/Indiana border).  Patrick Chartrand's display includes a mega tree, leaping arches and other items as part of his synchronized Christmas extravaganza in Coldwater. 
  • Freeland Christmas - Freeland, MI (near Saginaw).  Freeland Christmas is a spectacular Christmas lighting display near Saginaw. 
  • Hazelhurst Christmas - Ferndale, MI (near Detroit).  A syncronized display with a mega tree and other items.
  • Hearns Christmas - Macomb, MI (near Detroit).  A colorful Christmas synchronized display. 
  • Holiday Road Lights - Grand Haven, MI (near Muskegon).  Holiday Road Lights is truly a sight to behold, with 14 house displays all synchronized to music.  Over 200,000 lights.  It is truly a must-see.   
  • Our Dancing Lights - Auburn Hills, MI (close to Detroit).  A beautiful synchronized display consisting of mostly LED's (Light Emitting Diodes).

Technical Links

  • Light-o-Rama - The software used to synchronize the lights to the music.  Light-o-Rama is an excellent piece of software that makes synchronizing Christmas lights to music much easier. 
  • Information Lighthouse - the company that has worked with us to promote the Livonia Lights Christmas Light Show.  They also offer Internet marketing services to help local businesses get found on the Internet.  
  • The Demented Elf - Where the voiceovers for our display came from.  Kevin Dunn produces excellent voiceovers that can be used for any Christmas light show.

  • Computer Christmas Lights - Charlestown, IN (near Louisville, KY).  A large municipal Christmas light show in the Charlestown City Square.  Site includes videos, pictures and technical information.
  • Christmas Utah - Murray, UT (near Salt Lake City).  Marty Slack's Christmas Utah is one of the best Christmas light shows in the world.  His display includes Santa Claus "hiding" in a window, chasing reindeer, a cityscape, a light fan, and more.  Christmas Utah won the PlanetChristmas worldwide deocorating contest one year.
  • Christmas Wonders - Kessemie, FL (near Orlando, Florida).  A very well-crafted Christmas display with a beautiful mega tree, lighted palm trees, a nativity, rope light outlining the driveway and more.  Another winner of the PlanetChristmas worldwide decorating contest.
  • Frisco Christmas - Frisco, TX (near Dallas).  Frisco Christmas is an excellent synchronized Christmas display with a huge mega tree, leaping fountains (like the ones at Disney World), chasing trees and more.  Another winner of the PlanetChristmas decoarting contest.
  • Holdman Christmas - Pleasant Grove, UT (near Salt Lake City).  Richard Holdman's display is a beautiful display that has excellent synchronization and great use of 3 color combinations - red, green and white. 
  • Lindsay Lights - Thornhill, ON (Canada) (near Toronto, Ontario).  Martin and Andrew Lindsay had a beautiful synchronized display that included a "swag effect" with their trees, chasing arches, leaping fountains, and much more.  Another winner of the PlanetChristmas worldwide decorating contest.  Unfortunately, the future of their display is uncertain at this point. 
  • Lights on Display - Sherman Oaks, CA (near Los Angeles).  Lights on Display is a very innovative synchronized display that incorporates video along with synchronized Christmas lights to create a spectacular Christmas light show.
