Think about the greatest Christmas gift you have ever received.  It may have been an I-Pod, laptop computer, new car, or something else.  If that was the only gift you could ever have, would it bring ultimate satisfaction in your life?

Truthfully, most material gifts such as these do not bring the kind of joy and satisfaction that we desire.  As human beings, we always long for something deeper - something that will bring lasting fulfillment in life.

When I was a little boy, though, I learned about God’s greatest gift to mankind, His own Son Jesus Christ, who was born in a humble animal shelter yet has changed more people’s lives than any other person on the planet.  I soon realized that God's great gift was far better than any of the material gifts listed on this page.  To you, this may not make sense.  How is it that God’s gift could be more valuable than any of these material gifts?
